  13. Do you have registered versions of PPP and AmiTCP? They facilitate the set-up considerably.

  15. If your dialup connection is dynamic, the carrier will automatically supply the appropriate
  16. values when you log in (for IPLocal and IPRemote). If the connection is static, you have to
  17. get the correct address from your carrier and use it in your sys:prefs/env-archive/sana2/ppp0.config

  20. In that file, if the connection is dynamic, simply use 0.0.0.0.

  22. If your AmiTCP is unregistered, look at the AmiTCP/bin/startnet file. With a dynamic connection,
  23. no values are substituted for $ppp0iplocal and $ppp0ipremote. With a static connection, you must
  24. get these values from your carrier and insert them in place of these variables.
